One Response to RV Repair Section – 2002 Winnebago Journey

Today for the first time on our 2002 Journey DL, we tried to extend the door and patio awnings, but they won’t go out. Is there a trick to them? I’ve read through the ops manual and there is no mention of awnings. Do the levelers have to be down?

I am pretty sure that the levelers can be Up or Down and your awnings should work fine. If you’re talking about electric operated awnings, make sure you check all your 12 volt Circuit Breakers and 12 volt fuses. The CBs are behind that little door close to the floor below the refer. The fuses for those devices might be under the front hood, behind that cover panel. The cover has printing on the backside showing where each fuse and relay goes to.

Typically, if there’s something attached to your RV and it’s not shown in the Users Guide provided by Winnebago, than that device came with it’s own UG, and that should be somewhere in your folder. Failing that, try to find the brand name for the awnings stamped or labeled somewhere on them and try to track down the users guides that way.

Sorry, but I’ve never had an electrical awning so I don’t know to much about how Winnie wired them up.
